Meet Eric Vernon, the dynamic founder of Corks & Conversations, a wine tasting venture that combines education with enjoyment. Born in Belize and raised in San Jose, California, Eric's journey into the world of wine began in the 1990s during his early days in the tech industry.
It was a pivotal moment at a work dinner in San Francisco when his manager handed him an extensive wine list, challenging him to select the perfect bottle for the table. As a young twenty-something, Eric found himself navigating the complexities of wine with little expertise, unable to distinguish a Bordeaux from a Burgundy. That evening sparked a journey of discovery that would shape his future.
Since that fateful night, Eric has embarked on a quest to deepen his understanding and appreciation of wine, traversing various regions to taste and learn. His passion for wine led him to Washington state, where he was captivated by the essence and quality of the local wines. Eric continues to grow his knowledge of wine as a member of the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS-A).
Determined to share this hidden gem with the world, Eric founded Corks & Conversations. With a mission to showcase the exceptional wines of Washington, he brings together his expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication to craft engaging and memorable tasting experiences for wine enthusiasts everywhere.
